U.S. Government leaders throughout the twentieth century have attempted to address the inefficiencies of the nation’s health care system, and yet, costs continue to increase as access to care declines. Ethnic and racial minorities in the U.S., a growing segment of the population, are the most affected by persistent and ever widening health and healthcare disparities.
